We look forward to meeting you on your first visit to our office. During this time, we will help you get acquainted with our office and learn about your orthodontic treatment. We understand that each patient’s orthodontic treatment is different, and we promise to give you the personal attention you deserve. Your first orthodontic visit will consist of an extensive examination and discussion of potential treatment options. Upon completion of the examination done by Dr. McReath, one of three options will be discussed:
- Treatment is needed immediately and we will schedule the necessary appointments to begin the recommended treatment.
- Treatment will be needed in the future so Dr. McReath will place you on a growth and development observation program to monitor your dental development. Your child will then be entered into our “Smile Hunter Club” where they will have the chance to enter into contests and play games at each visit.
- No treatment is necessary so no further appointments will be scheduled.
We encourage questions from both the patient and the parent, and as such, we provide ample time to answer your questions.
Once the first visit has concluded, we will provide your dentist with a written summary of the findings and a detailed plan that outlines your treatment goals.
